Overview The Solaine Paper Lantern Table Lamp is a rice paper shade held in a slim frame of lacquered oak. The paper does the work an ordinary shade cannot: instead of directing light out of an opening, the whole surface turns luminous, so there is no bright edge and no hot spot anywhere on it. The frame is the counterweight. Its dark verticals give the soft mass of paper
